Talk 'N Text beats Powerade on Game 5 to take Championship title

Talk 'N Text beats Powerade on Game 5 and  clinched the PBA Philippine Cup title again on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum. Powerade coach Bo Perasol as always, want to take the series one game at a time as his Tigers try to become the first team in the PBA's 37-year history to come back from a 3-0 hole and win the championship but failed to do so.

Tropang Texters, became the first team since the 1985 Great Taste Coffee Makers to repeat as All-Filipino champion, was derailed in their quest for history after a 100-97 setback in Game Four of the best-of-seven Finals series.

The said BACK TO BACK Championship gave coach Chot Reyes his 8th PBA title and fourth for TNT.

The Petron Boosters pulled through in Game Two the way the Tropang Texters did in Game One.

Five Petron players delivered double-digit outputs with two coming through with double-double numbers as the Boosters repulsed the Texters, 91-89, to force a 1-1 deadlock in their PBA Philippine Cup best-of-seven semifinals showdown.
