Brgy Ginebra beats B-Meg for Semis Berth, 93-84

Barangay Ginebra shoots semifinals berth with a win over B-Meg. Canaleta scored 25 points to steer the Gin Kings to the semifinals via a 93-84 demolition of the Llamados in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Friday night at the Cuneta Astrodome.

The crow favourite Brgy Ginebra, survived the game despite missing the services of Mark Caguioa for majority of the second half.

B-MEG and Barangay Ginebra will battle for the remaining automatic semifinals berth while Powerade and Meralco clash in a do-or-die game for the last quarterfinal seat of the PBA Commissioner Cup Friday at the Cuneta Astrodome.

The Llamados and the Kings dispute the No. 2 seed in their playoff encounter at 7:30 p.m. while the Bolts and the Tigers collide in the opener at 5:15 p.m. for the last quarterfinal seat.

Talk ‘N Text clinched the first semis berth with a 7-2 slate after the eliminations while B-MEG and Ginebra finished tied for second with 6-3 records.
