Online boxing fans in micro-blogging site Twitter, clamors for "Mayweather vs Pacman" just after Floyd Mayweather defeated Miguel Cotto via Unanimous Decision on May 6- Manila Time.

The fight of the year is on this Sunday (April 6- Manila Time)! RING KINGS - Mayweather vs. Cotto! According to ANC tweets, Crowd booing Floyd during his interview, but he's giving credit to Cotto for being a great competitor who came to fight. Crowd chanting MayweatherPacquiao.

• Mayweather fires a hook that Cotto blocks opening it up
• Mayweather is doing a good job of jabbing to the stomach. Cotto needs to use his jab.
• Mayweather takes first 10-9, but not particularly eventful round.
• Combination by Mayweather and Cotto lifts him off his feet. Weird.
• Nic e left hook to the body by Cotto. Mayweather counters with a right.

This will be Mayweather’s second campaign at 154. The last time was in 2007 against De La Hoya when he tipped the scaled at 150. The fight is labeled ‘Ring Kings’ and may be both fighters stiffest challenge to date.

One of the main selling points from a Cotto upset point of view has been that he's the bigger man, but Mayweather's just not seeing himself at any kind of disadvantage. From BoxingScene.com:

"I think my skills are on a different level from any other fighter, so when it’s all said and done skills pays the bills. You got certain guys that it all depends on what style of boxing, what style of fighting a guy is doing when you move up to a different weight class. ... I don’t really think weight is going to really play a major key. I think it’s going to come down to the skills."

Floyd Mayweather Jr is No.1 Pound for Pound King, Manny Pacquiao is No.2

Manny Pacquiao who is an eight-division champion lost his standing as the top pound-for-pound boxer after his nemesis, unbeaten fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr., topped The Ring magazine’s “Best Fighter” poll, according to a report by Manila Bulletin’s Nick Giongco.

Giongco reported that Mayweather received 5.5 first-place votes, while Pacquiao got 3.5 in the poll conducted by The Ring editor-in-chief Michael Rosenthal.

Undefeated American world welterweight champion Mayweather and super welterweight champion Cotto will clash for the Puerto Rican's World Boxing Association crown at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 5.

Boxing trainer Ronnie Shields believes undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. chose to fight Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico because it was a favorable match-up for him.

Mayweather will move up to the junior middleweight division for only the second time in his career to challenge Cotto, who holds the World Boxing Association junior middleweight championship.

Cotto who beat Margarito with a 10th round TKO at Madison Square Garden back on December 3 joined Floyd Mayweather on their press tour in New York City.
