Floyd Mayweather Jr. is now vocal about his intention to fight Ring Magazine's best pound-for-pound king, Manny Pacquiao.

"MAY 5TH...I'M HERE. I'M WAITING! LETS MAKE THIS FIGHT HAPPEN," he said.
"I been told the boy May 5th is open. I told him May 5th is open...Now you know me... and all the fans, May 5th is the date. Sign the contract! Sign the contract! I'm waiting," he said.

"Now I can't be sitting waiting all day, now. You want a fight, let's make it happen. May 5th! This is exclusive. May 5th, let's make the fight. I'm here. I'm waiting," he added.
"What's going on? You said you a clean athelete and you said you would take the tests and all that. Well let's do it," Mayweather said in the video.

Boxing champ, Filipino-American Brian Viloria will defend his WBO flyweight title against Mexican Giovani Segura at the Ynares Sports Arena, Antipolo on December 11.

Entitled as “Island Assault 3,” the December 11 event will be held in morning schedule to address pay-per-view demands from Mexico and the United States.

The supporting main event for the Viloria-Segura flyweight championship bout will feature veteran Martin Honorio (31-6-1, 16 KOs) of Mexico versus Fahsai Sakkreerin (36-2-0, 20 KOs) of Thailand for the IBF interim Super Featherweight title.

The undercard includes Al Sabaupan (17-0-1, 12 KOs) of Philippines vs. Roy Muklis (23-3-2, 18 KOs) of Indonesia for the IBF Pan Pacific championship. Also, Lolito Sonsona (17-0-1, 12 KOs) will meet former world title challenger Arden Diale (16-6-3, 4 KOs) for the Philippine Flyweight Championship.

Mexican legends Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. and Marco Antonio Barrera will cover the fight for their Mexican audience.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 211 out of 764 passed the Librarian Licensure Examination given by the Board for Librarians in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi this November 2011.

Jon Tuck vs Tristan Arenal PXC 28

As the dust settled on an extremely entertaining night of high-quality MMA action at PXC 28 last Saturday, Jon “Super Saiyan” Tuck was standing in the center of the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig with both hands raised, victorious once again in the first round, and still undefeated.

Despite a two-year hiatus from the cage, the Guamanian made a mockery of suggestions of rustiness, knocking out talented Filipino-American Tristan Arenal with little more than a minute left in the first round.

Everyone expected an explosive main event, and that’s exactly what the fight delivered. From the get-go, the two were not shy about making immediate contact, particularly Tuck who tested the range with a series of kicks.

It was clear Arenal was looking to not get too committed in his attack, utilizing his crisp boxing to pick shots whenever he saw an opening. And about a minute in, as Tuck was circling away from the cage, Arenal landed a solid hook and a cross that would’ve put anybody else on the canvas.

The Guamanian kept his composure though, shrugging off the effects and even offering a smile to acknowledge the contact. Bruno Mars’ official website on September 22, 2011, announced that his new song “It Will Rain” will be included in the original motion picture soundtrack of the upcoming romantic-fantasy film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.

The movie will be shown in installment, Part 1, which will be rated PG-13, will be released on November 18, 2011, while Part 2 will be shown after almost a year on  November 16, 2012.
