India test fired its 5,000 km range Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Agni-V from Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Wheeler Island off Odisha coast at around 0805 hrs.

According to Indiablogs/NewYorkTimes, with the successful launching of the missile, called Agni 5, India joins a small group of countries with long-range nuclear missile capability, including China, Britain, France, Russia and the United States.

AFP report: "This launch has given a message to the entire world that India has the capability to design, develop, build and manufacture missiles of this class, and we are today a missile power," said V.K. Saraswat, head of India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) which made the missile.

 The purpose of the film  is to promote the charity's 'Stop Kony' movement to make indicted Ugandan war criminal Joseph Kony internationally known in order to arrest him in 2012. A number of celebrities have endorsed the campaign, including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Christina Milian, Nicki Minaj, Bill Gates and Kim Kardashian. On April 20, 2012, as part of the campaign, supporters will put up posters promoting Kony 2012 in their hometowns. Invisible Children offers posters from an online shop in an attempt to gain wider recognition. They have also created action kits to help spread awareness that include campaign buttons, posters, bracelets, and stickers.

The film has spread virally. As of 17 March 2012, the film had over 80 million views on video-sharing website YouTube, and over 16.6 million views on Vimeo. Kony 2012 is a film created by Invisible Children, Inc.

On Wednesday’ performance night, the Top 11, mentored by Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am, were asked to sing hits from the “year they were born.”

The camp of Chief Justice Renato Corona formally asked the Senate impeachment court yesterday to have Sen. Franklin Drilon removed as judge for his being “openly partial and biased” for the prosecution.

In seeking Drilon’s disqualification as senator-judge, the defense camp noted that he has lost the “cold neutrality” of a judge, thus undermining due process. This, defense lawyers said, should prompt the court to order the “recusal, inhibition, or disqualification” of Drilon.

According to the official data of National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council or NDRRMC, a total of 685 was killed by Bagyong Sendong in which the most affected areas are Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City. The data was released by the NDRRMC as of 3PM - Monday, December 19, 2011.

As expected, evacuation centers were all crowded by the victims who had their house destroyed by the typhoon. In Cagayan de Oro City, a head count of 30,403 persons are staying in 19 evacuation centers while 9,460 individuals are staying in 15 evacuation centers in Iligan City.
