According to the report from AbS-CBN, the Philippines advanced to a third-round tie in the Davis CupAsia/Oceania Group II relegation playoffs after routing Pakistan, 5-0, at the PCA courts in Paco, Manila on Easter Sunday.

Team Philippines had virtually won the tie after taking a 3-0 lead on Black Saturday.

Francis Alcantara trounced Muhammad Abid, 6-2, 6-1, and Johnny Arcilla defeated Yasir Khan, 6-3, 6-4 in the reverse singles to complete the sweep for the Philippines.
