Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso won the rain-interrupted Malaysian Grand Prix in thrilling style on Sunday to claim his first victory in eight months and throw the early title race wide open. Alonso held off Sauber's Sergio Perez to take a sensational victory in a thrilling, rain-hit Malaysian Grand Prix.
Perez caught him in the closing stages but ran wide and settled for second. McLaren's Lewis Hamilton took third ahead of Red Bull's Mark Webber and Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen.

According to Alonzo, “It’s an unbelievable result and a great job from the team. “We maximised the potential we had in our hands. It’s a tough time for us at the moment but we will remember this Sunday.”
