AFC Challenge Cup 2012 Golden Boot Award goes to our very own Phil Younghusband [6 goals] of Loyola Meralco Sparks FC! Congratulations, Phil!
Younghusband was born in Ashford, Surrey, England, the son of Englishman Philip Younghusband Sr. and Filipina Susan Placer (both deceased). His brother James Younghusband is also a footballer and a midfielder on the same team.
At the 2011–12 United Football Cup final, Loyola lost against the Philippine Air Force 2–0, although again, he won the Golden Boot Award with 25 goals in his 7 games.
Meanwhile after placing third, Azkals' coach Michael Weiss said "I am very proud to be part of this development of Philippines' football and I look forward to it continuing."
