Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas warns the public about the circulating fake P150 peso bank notes. There are no plans to issue a P150 commemorative banknote, according to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

"The BSP has never issued nor is planning to issue such type of a banknote. Therefore, any 150-piso commemorative note or similar banknote is fictitious," it said.

Cedric Bozeman attended Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana alongside Jamal Sampson and USC Heisman Trophy winner, Matt Leinart. He was a member of the high school's top-ranked Mater Dei Monarchs basketball team and later became a UCLA Bruin after high school. Cedric Bozeman was not drafted in the NBA, but found his way into the league through the Atlanta Hawks where he averaged 1.1 points in 23 games with five starts before being waived in January 2007.

Soon thereafter he was quickly picked up by the Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA D-League. Bozeman went overseas to play for the Belgium-based Telindus Oostende basketball club and averaged 4.6 points per game over ten games. According to the report, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press that James will be announced Saturday as this year's winner of the league's top individual honor, and that he'll be formally presented with the trophy by Commissioner David Stern on Sunday afternoon before Miami hosts Indiana in Game 1 of an Eastern Conference semifinal series.

James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to consecutive playoff appearances from 2006 through 2010. In 2007, the Cavaliers advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history, but lost to the San Antonio Spurs. In 2011, James and the Miami Heat advanced to the NBA Finalsbut lost to the Dallas Mavericks. James has been a member of the USA national team, winning a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympics and gold at the 2008 Olympics.

The Sacramento Kings are a professional basketball team based in Sacramento, California, United States. They are members of the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team won the NBL championship in 1946 and the NBA championship in 1951. Since 1945 they have won one conference championship and five division championships.

Nursing Graduates Test Online Application System in Zamboanga

Some 62 nursing graduates in Zamboanga yesterday submitted their applications for the June 30-July 1, 2012 nurse licensure examination (NLE) through the online application system (OAS). On the first day the system was launched at PRC Zamboanga, Ms. Mia Christine I. Fernando of the Ateneo de Zamboanga became the first applicant ever to use the OAS. Gladly receiving her notice of admission shortly after submitting her application at the PRC-Zamboanga application kiosk, Ms. Fernando said she found the system to be user friendly. Ms. Fernando is shown here holding her Notice of Admission with Director Senando Esteban of PRC-Zamboanga.

At the Western Mindanao State University, about 100 nursing graduates attended the orientation on the OAS. The graduates with complete requirements thereafter processed their applications through the PRC’s Zamboanga mobile services at the campus.

The OAS launching at PRC Zamboanga is the 8th in a series of testing and deployment in the regional offices of PRC, which aim to facilitate the submission and processing of applications for the various board examinations through the use of information technology. The system allows applicants to submit applications online in accordance with the PRC’s vision for PRC clients to “go online, not in line.” The OAS was previously tested and deployed successfully in Baguio, Davao, Cebu, Manila, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro and Legazpi.

'Canelo' Alvarez beats Shane Mosley to regain crown- Video Highlights

Mexican boxer, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez defeated Shane Mosley to retain his World Boxing Council super welterweight title on Saturday at the MGM Grand hotel and casino.

The 21-year-old Alvarez defended his title for the fourth consecutive time, winning by unanimous decision and saying the triumph over the aging US great was the start of a new phase in his career.

“It was a great experience. This is the beginning of my career,” the undefeated Alvarez said.

Alvarez’s superior defense and hard, accurate punches proved to be too much for the 40-year-old Mosley, who was giving away 19 years in age to the Mexican.

After the fight Alvarez said he is ready to fight, Mayweather, Cotto and Pacquiao.

LA leads 2-1.  A return home proved just what the Denver Nuggets needed on Friday-April 4 (Manila Time) as they downed the Los Angeles Lakers 99-84 to narrow the gap in their NBA Western Conference first-round playoff series.

Denver closed the gap in the best-of-seven series to 2-1, and have a chance to even it up when they host game four on Sunday.

Results: L.A. Lakers defeated Denver Nuggets on Game 4, 92-88.
Ramon Sessions and Steve Blake landed clutch three-pointers in the final minute to give the Los Angeles Lakers a nail-biting 92-88 road victory over the Denver Nuggets and a 3-1 lead in their first-round playoff series.

NBA Playoffs Update: Oklahoma City Thunder defeated Dallas Mavericks, 103 - 97, in Game 4. Thunder sweep series, 4-0, and will face winner of LAL-DEN.

Oklahoma City eliminate champion Mavericks.  The Oklahoma City Thunder roared home in a final quarter blitz to eliminate the NBA champion Dallas Mavericks from the Western Conference playoffs with a 103-97 comeback victory on Saturday (Sunday, PHL time).

The Thunder completed the four-game sweep by scoring 35 points in the fourth quarter while holding Dallas to 16.
